In the Book – Dorothy is wearing a gingham dress and her old dark leather little girls shoes …… and then changes in to Silver Sparkly Slippers belonging to the witch in Oz
In the Copyrighted MGM film – Dorothy is wearing Red ‘Ruby’ Sparkly Slippers, The slippers were designed by Gilbert Adrian, MGM's chief costume designer and were chosen due to the film being in color and the silver shoes just didn't show up.
I’m having a ton of fun designing MY Dorothy! There is a nod towards the Classic story and the Movie’s iconic image of Dorothy but she is very much a DollsAndDaydreams girl!

For Home – she can easily be adapted to wear whatever you wish and will fit all my shoe patterns & peasant dress!
