Dolls And Daydreams sewing patterns is 3 Years Old Today! WOW how time flies! As some of you might know, I love to send my handmade dolls to children in need around the world through my sister site Dolly Donations.  I started by posting a simple free doll pattern  (My NEW Mini Free doll pattern can be found here) online for all to use and it has grown and grown .... and I that is how I evolved into Dolls And Daydreams.

♥ So why do we hand-make dollies for children in need? ......... It's because every child deserves to have their very own dolly to love ... made with love!

Top Secret November Doll Scheduled - Super Busy! Super Excited!

Hi Ladies & Gents! Super busy this month but Super excited too!!!!

*     Finishing up my Deluxe 3D Dolls (there are 6 of them!!!!) for release at the end of this month!!! These will be the last doll sewing pattern of the year :) Hooray!!!!! Super excited about them! I am so in love!!!!!

Swan Princess Doll Clothes Sewing Pattern

Meet my Swan Princess Doll Outfit!  With my NEW ITH Embroidery Machine Ballerina doll pattern release this week I knew I couldn't leave my lovely Sewing Ladies out!! As you now know from my previous post  .. we rather LOVE ballet in this family ... and thus I was inspired to create this beautiful Swan Princess outfit from Swan Lake... ahhhh dreamy!

Swan Princess Tiara Crown

Like my Mother, my daughter has been obsessed with Ballet since she could walk .. in fact I think she would dance in my tummy when I pregnant with her ...... so I created this Swan Princess Tiara Crown especially for her (with a nod to my wonderful Mummsey who always let us follow our hearts).

My Mum gave her the 'Swan Princess' book after we went to see Swan Lake at The Royal Ballet ..... all I can say is Stunning! And so .. I have created a NEW Swan Lake Ballerina outfit for everyone's Ballerina Dollies! It comes with a NEW yummy Tutu design, top and crown ......  And as you can see .. your little one can become a Swan Princess too!

............ and I will have a NEW ITH Dolly out this week too!!!!   Well take a guess ladies ;) ..... you know we love Ballet in this house ...... so all I will say is "Let's Dance!"!!!

3D Doll Sewing Pattern Update

So I have been working on a 'real' 3D doll sewing pattern  .... and I am in love! Hahahaha I know I know I am biased! But she's been in the making for a very long time .... almost a year and half if I am truthful .. wow! Maybe that's why I can't seem to finish her ;) I want her to be ............ well .... perfect!

I want that with all of my designs of course, but these little cuties I kinda want to keep to myself hahaha is that mean of me?! Hahaha YES you cry!

Any artist will tell you, sometimes the hardest part is knowing when you are finished .....  and to put the paintbrush down (or in my case the sewing machine hehehe) ....  and to me .. she is truly a tangible being ...... my art work come to life  ...... my mini sculpture of the 100's of drawings I have sketched this past couple of years ............

So once I was 100% happy with my pattern design (and trust me it has taken a long time hahaha I'm picky!) I made my 'finial' doll .....  but I found that I couldn't stop!  ....... I have a whole back story on these little sweetie pies in my head ........... where they live, their friends, what they eat ............... So I now have quite a few uber cute dolls sitting in my work space  ... each one with their own personality!

So .....  when will they be released .......?  Hopefully by the end of November!

Day of the Dead - Dia de los Muertos

Last day of Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos) and so I am thinking of those in my family who have passed and celebrating their amazing lives .... I love and miss you xxxx

When I moved to America some 12 years ago I discovered this amazing Holiday .... In Latin America, Day of the Dead is a time for celebrating life ....  that's so much better than fearing death don't you think :)  I love the bright colors and motifs used in the art work ....and the mix of something scary and yet beautiful .....
